Fanart Commissions

Good evening ladies and gents. I have lately come into a need for money (haven’t we all) so I have opened commissions, but I would most specifically like you to know that I WILL do fanart! I like fanart. I do it quite often, as you can see: but I also know that feeling when there is something you want to see fanart of that simply isn’t there. Perhaps there isn’t enough of it. I would like to help.
Most specifically I would like to advertise simple sketch/lineart commissions. By clicking the link you can view my previous post about this. As aforementioned, I know a lot of us are hurting for money, not just myself: maybe some of you would like to commission an artist for something but don’t have the means to buy a complex project. A sketch or lineart is a good solution -as you can see I am only asking $10 to $20 for these.
If you would like to order something on a larger scale, I would be all too happy to oblige.
About Pricing:
Primarily I charge by the number of hours I spent on a piece: unfortunately when the piece has not yet been made it is virtually impossible to judge a cost that way. Therefore the cost of commission will depend largely on scale and materials used, with small sketches or ACEOs being on one end and large scale paintings being on the other.
Therefore, if you are interested, send me a detailed request of what you would like to see in an ask or in an e-mail to ankhanswer42@gmail.com. I will then tell you what I would charge for it. Do note that I will not take the initial request as an absolute decision: not until you see the price and agree that you would like the commission. Neither will I be disappointed if you find the price out of your range. It’s totally understandable.
Payment:
I have a paypal account attached to my Etsy. It will be given to you when we reach an agreement about a commission.
Completion time:
Entirely dependent on the scale of the project. Upon receiving an order I will begin work as swiftly as possible.

If you want the original and not just a digital copy, I can mail. You will be asked to pay shipping if it is $10 or more.
Policies:
I maintain that all work I do, commission or not, is my own. Upon receiving the commission you do not have the right to copy it, claim it as your own work or sell it for profit. You may of course color in a lineart for your own enjoyment: you can even display it on your blog or website CONSIDERING YOU CREDIT ME. Please respect that my work takes time and effort to complete for me: sometimes many hours, and it is not right to steal.
I also reserve the right to refuse commissions if they are unreasonable: for example, if they contain extremely sensitive or offensive subject matters. No fetish art. Nothing overtly sexual. Neither do I like racist or sexist stuff unless it is AGAINST such things.
If by some miracle I become ridiculously swamped with commissions, I will work on a first come, first served basis. In order to complete backed up orders I may simply give you a waiting period for your commission to be accepted.

Noooo. ;-; If we’re going to complain about Facial Structure, his jaw is so square it hurts.
The problem is (and it’s not just because I used Routh smiling, but it plays into it) is that I cannot believe in any stretch that Routh can play a man tormented by something - or that he’s in any way less than 100% American Wholesomeness thanks to Superman. Roy must at once exude youthfulness, intelligence, commanding presence, and barely held back nearly byronic brooding. The problem is you need this Roy as much as this Roy. Not to mention all anyone sees when looking at Routh is Superman or maybe Todd Ingram and that’s a sad amount of depth to work with. (He might look ‘close’ but at the very least Cumberbatch has an amazing vocal range of acting, and he’s a very good facial actor which is so very necessary.)
I also prefer that Roy have a bit of a baby face if anything, which is to say rounder than both these men because it drives home the fact that: 1.) Roy is insanely young for his position/power/status and 2.) He’s still an idealist at heart even if he’s had to drag himself through hell to ensure the rest of the world will see the future he wants.
Neither of them are perfect but I’d choose acting chops over looks. I’m going to maintain it would probably require a cold cast though.

Just going to butt in here and say that I agree with you: I would ultimately root for an incredible actor who is good at character depth and emotional/voice range rather than an exact look alike: Roy is a nice to look at, but that is not what makes him a good character to us (unless you are completely shallow or something).
